Library Counter

The Takahashi City Library has the following 3 counters.
Each counter serves a different purpose,but please feel free to come to any counter.

2nd floor Library Counter

Checking out, Returning of Materials, Search, Reserving, Postal services, and Inquiries.

3rd floor Library Counter

Checking out, Returning of Materials (including iPad/AV equipment), Search, Reserving, Receiving, Copy Services, Reference Services and Inquiries.

4th floor Kid's Counter

Checking Out, Returning of Materials, Search, Reserving, Group Reservations, Inquiries.

Self-checkout machine

There is a self-checkout machine on the 3rd floor Library counter and on the 4th floor children's library counter.
Follow the instructions of the machine to check out materials.
If you use your T Card at the self-checkout machine, 3 T Points will be added per day.
Some materials may not be checked out at this machine. Please ask staff.

Search Device(iPad)

The Takahashi City Library is equipped with a searching device (iPad) at various places.
You can search by title/author,  printed out receipt will show you where the material is located.
You can also check out an iPad. Please feel free to ask staff.

Study Room

The 3rd floor has a study room for you to study and do research.
The seats are available on a first-come. No reservations allowed.

Multipurpose Restroom, Wheelchair

There are wheelchairs near the Main entrance on the 2nd floor. There is also a dedicated parking lot for people on wheelchairs.
There is also a multipurpose restroom. Please feel free to use it to your needs.

※For safety reasons, please consult a staff before using.

Magnifying reading device

There is a magnifying reading device near the 3rd floor elevator. Please feel free to use it.  

Read Aloud Space

There are children's books and picture books on the 4th floor.
You may enjoy the space as a family and take advantage of the periodic book readings.
Terrace located on the 4th floor also has playground equipment and you can spend time with your children. You can eat and drink there.

Children's Restroom / Nursing Room / Stroller

Strollers are available near the main entrance on the 2nd floor.
In addition, we have a nursing room (the bed to change diaper, milk formula equipment, scale etc) on the 4th floor and a toilet for children only, so please feel free to use it.
