Tourist Information Counter

The Takahashi Tourist Information Center is located right near the 2nd floor entrance of the library.
We provide tourist information and a souvenirs.
Please feel free to use it regardless of whether you are a tourist or not.

Share-ride taxi Reservations (Reservations must be made by 5:00 P.M. the previous day)

We take reservations for taxis that conveniently take you up to the Bicchu Matsuyama-jo Castle.
The share-ride taxi is from the front of JR Bicchu Takahashi Station to the Fuigo Pass. From the Fuigo Pass, it takes 25 minutes on foot to the Bicchu Matsuyama-jo Castle.
The fee is 500 yen per person (one way)
Reservations must be made by 5:00 P.M. the previous day

Unkai Taxi Reservations (Available only October through March. Reservations must be made by 5:00 P.M. the previous day)

From autumn to spring in Gagyu Mountain, early morning mist forms a fog and you can observe the "Mountain Castle in the Sky",or the Bicchu Matsuyama-jo Castle, floating in the sea of clouds from the Unkai Observatory.
We take reservations for Unkai taxis that bring you from JR Bicchu Takahashi Station to the Unkai Observation Deck.
The fee is 1500 yen per person.
Reservations must be made by 5:00 P.M. the previous day.

※The Unkai Taxi does not go to the Bicchu Matsuyama-jo Castle.

• 1st Depart 7:30 A.M. (JR Bicchu Takahashi Station) → Observe Unkai (Unkai observation deck) → Arrive 8:40 A.M. (JR Bicchu Takahashi Station)
• 2nd Depart 8:00 A.M. (JR Bicchu Takahashi Station) → Observe Unkai (Unkai observation deck) → Arrive 9:10 A.M. (JR Bicchu Takahashi Station)

Buying a economic pass

We sell a economic pass for all four of the following facilities for 900 yen per person :

Bicchu Matsuyama-jo Castle, Raikyuji Temple Garden, Takahashi City Old Samurai Residences, and Takahashi City Local Musuem

Please visit the tourist information counter to buy this pass.

Souvenir shop

We sell specialty goods and souvenirs of Takahashi city.
We also sell carefully selected specialty products of Okayama Prefecture.
So whoever comes can enjoy shopping here.

Rental Bikes

We have three electric bicycles and three general bicycles that you can rent out for a day.
This service is available from 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Please return bikes by 4:30 P.M.
If returned after 5:00 P.M., you will be fined 200 yen per hour.
Please visit the tourist information counter if you are interested in the rental bike service.

Luggage Storage

We can store your travel luggage for 300 yen per day.
This service is available from 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Please pick up your luggage by 4:30 P.M.
Please visit the tourist information counter if you are interested in this luggage storage service.

Luggage Delivery Service

We can also send your travel luggage to your house or designated place through Yamato Transport Co., Ltd.
This service is available from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Fees vary depending on the size of the parcel,
so please visit the tourist information counter if you would like to use this delivery service.
